Archery at the 2020 Summer Olympics: There’s good news for all the avid archery fans across the globe since the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo will host the particular events. Back then, the 2020 Olympics was postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Although it has yet to be over, the officials have confirmed the 2020 Summer Olympics deliverance along with the archery events.

The venue will be at Yumenoshima Park, taking place from 23-31 July 2021. There will be five events that consist of 2 men events, 2 women events, and 1 mixed events. 128 archers will be competing in these events.

2021 Olympic Archery Events

There are five events in total, as mentioned above. But there are three categories of archery events which will take place in the 2021 Olympic Archery:

  • Individual events: There are a total of 64 competitors who will be taking part in this category.
  • Men’s and women’s team events: The team event will follow the same Archery Olympic Round applied in the latter.
  • Mixed team event: Mixed team event consists of male and female members of the teams. The competition format has yet to be released.

There is a set of rules which is disclosed for the event. Each archer has 20 seconds to shoot every arrow. But the shooting will be in turns. Archer will shoot one arrow in each turn.

Winning will grant the winner two points. Meanwhile, the draw grants each player one point.
