2021 Olympic Volleyball Dates and Venues
The Volley Tournaments at the 2020 Summer Olympics supposed to be taking place back last year. But the officials postponed the event due to the covid-19 outbreaks. As a result, the volleyball tournaments will be held inside the Tokyo Olympics from 24 July to 8 August 2021. There are two kinds of volley competitions in the Summer Olympics: Indoor Volleyball and Beach Volleyball.
The indoor volleyball competition is set to happen at Ariake Arena. Meanwhile, the officials have appointed Shiokaze Park as the place to host the beach volleyball tournament. For those who haven’t known, the Shiokaze Park Stadium is inside the Shiokaze Park.

Olympic Volleyball Rules
The International Olympic Committee formalizes the Olympic Volleyball Rules. The IOC will also award the medals for male and female volley board for both indoor and outdoor.
There will be two teams that are competing at the time. The team will need to win three of five sets for indoor Volleyball. Meanwhile, beach volleyball requires the winning team to win two of three sets. Olympic Volleyball uses the same rules according to the International Volleyball Federation. Olympics Volleyball History
The demonstration of Volleyball was in 1924 in the Paris Games. The sport itself had such a long history of making it to the Olympics. We can see indoor and outdoor Volleyball in the Olympics. There are three main variations of the sport, which include indoor, beach, and sitting.
During the 50s and 60s, many professionals campaigned for Volleyball to be the official part of the Olympic games. However, the game-changing moment happened in the late 1960s. Volleyball gained the world’s attention in Toronto in 1976 then made its significant move in the Paralympic program in 1980. However, it was experiencing the darkest time when some parties boycotted it back in the 1980s.
In the 1990s, beach volleyball made its way to prospective participants in the Olympics. The first official introduction to Beach Volleyball was made in Atlanta in 1996. Since then, there was no single thing that could stop the beach and indoor Volleyball from taking part in the Olympic Games.
